Working with chart topping Girl Band H.O.L.L.E

We are excited to begin partnering with Canadian Christian chart topping girl band H.O.L.L.E. The girls hail from Alberta and are currently building at radio with their new single " Fallen Snow". MARIKA is excited to partner with the girls on their career project to help them reach as many people as they can with their music, their stories and their lives. 

Tara Teng Visits New Zealand

 
Tara Teng has just returned from a 2 week tour in New Zealand with Steph Lambert and Justice acts to share and teach about the impact of human trafficking and creating a movement to help in the country.

Marika and son Zac - 10 yrs old, had the opportunity to speak during the Save BC Film campaign and town hall meeting. Zac got a standing ovation for his speech to support the film industry and how important it is to him. Marika recognized for excellence in Arts & culture

 
Marika had the privilege of being awarded the Vancouver SAGE foundation's excellence in arts and culture award. She also had the honor of performing her single "ANGEL" alongside special guest speaker 5 time heavy weight champion Evander Holyfield. 

A 2013 update!

We are excited for this year! There is much going on in our camp, and we are looking forward to sharing all the news and events with you. Our clients have performances, appearances and events coming up, and we'd love you to join when you can. We are going through some growth and changes, and we are taking some time to work out what the next few years look like as well as how we can partner with different organizations we believe in to further create elements of positive change with our industry and our world. Daniel Ingram doing double duty on MLP and LPS!

Emmy® Nominated Daniel Ingram is doing double duty writing and composing for both Season 3 of the hit show " My Little Pony Friendship is Magic " as well as the brand new series " Littlest Pet Shop " He has also made special guest appearances at various conventions speaking about the music that he makes and appearing in various interviews including one for Rolling Stone Magazine. Daniel is an extremely talented composer and we are excited for the year ahead. The book features 100 westcoast artists, and it features Emerton Clients and friends Brian Doerksen, Steve Mitchinson, Tara Teng, Trevor Hoffmann as well as Emerton CEO MARIKA. David Vandas is the creative visionary behind the book, a friend, film maker and director, but the beauty of the project is that the common theme is that all the artists are amaingly talented and connected in someway through friendship.

This has been an incredible adventure and I have not done it without great people by my side. Steve Mitchinson "Giver of Life" album gives hope!

At Emerton Records, we have had the privielege to partner with Dr. Steve Mitchinson MD, also a very gifted artist and songwriter in assisting with the launch of his new album " Giver of Life ". The album brings hope to those nearing the end of life, and the families that are affected by this. It is a challenging yet gutsy project, and Steve has tackled the subject with grace, and compassion resulting in a beautifully crafted album. Steve also has made the life changing career choice to move from general practice to palliative care. Well done Steve, this album is a masterpiece, and your heart and life shine! 2012 Covenant Award Nominations are in!

 The 2012 GMA Covenant Awards were announced this morning, and Emerton artists and friends have 3 nominations. Nick Kulhawy and A New Monday's radio single " Go there with You " was nominated for Hard Rock/Alternative Song of the Year, as well as Wanda Siewert's Reflections Christmas album scored 2 nominations. Her rendition of Silent Night/Stille Nacht was nominated for Traditional Song of the Year, and the original song " Be What They Need "  written by myself (Marika)  was nominated in the Inspirational Song of the Year category!!

Congratulations to all the nominees this year! We are honored to celebrate among the many incredible Canadian aritsts making great music across the country and beyond!

Miss World Canada 2012

I (Marika) had the chance to perform with the incredible Jessica Zraly at the Miss World Pageant at the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond BC. I debuted a new single " Be the Best You Can Be " from the upcoming album releasing in a few weeks, and was blessed to have my producer and writer team Philip and Brenda Janz in the audience as well as my amazing family. To Top off the night, our friend Miss Tara Teng, won the title of Miss World Canda 2012. It was a great night! Congratulations Tara!! The Emerton team is honored to be working alongside Tara with some of her media and event coordination, and we will be touring together on the upcoming WonderWomen Conference tour!

Daniel Ingram Nominated for 2 Daytime Emmy awards!

 Vancouver native Daniel Ingram is amongst the select group of nominees this year at the 2012 Daytime Emmy Awards. The nominations were announced this morning and Daniel is nominated twice for his compositions for the Hasbro company's hit children's television series " My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic " The songs - Every Pony, and Find a Pet are both in the Outstanding Original Song in the Children's and Animation Category. In the Studio

So I've been hard at work in the studio with amazing producer Philip Janz. We've been writing and recording for about the past 7 months, and we are finally done! Here are some pics. I was honored to record with one of my favorite artists and also a good friend Brian Doerksen.
